Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
3 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic
1 lb. ground meat
1 1/2 c. drained tomatoes
Preparation

Stir corn meal in rapidly boiling water.
Cover and cook over boiling water 45 minutes; stir occasionally.
Cook garlic, onion and green pepper in oil until tender; add meat and cook until done.
Add remaining ingredients.
Pour layer of corn meal mixture into greased baking dish; cover with meat mixture; top with rest of corn meal mixture and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
