Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/3 c. cornstarch
dash of salt
1 baked pie shell
red food coloring
1 pkg. strawberry jello
fresh strawberries

Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and water.
Cook until clear, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add food coloring and jello. Stir until dissolved.
Let cool.
Place whole or sliced strawberries in pie shell.
Pour sauce on top. Chill until firm. Top each slice with whipped topping.
