Trail Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine or butter
3 c. miniature marshmallows
3 c. puffed cereal (Rice Krispies, Special K, etc.)
3 c. mixed cut up nuts, dried fruit, seeds, etc.
Preparation

Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick spray.
Measure out cereal.
Cut up fruits and nuts and have all measured and ready to add before melting marshmallows.
Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir almost continuously until melted and well blended.
Remove pot from heat and quickly stir in remaining ingredients, stirring until well coated.
Pour into sprayed pan and allow to cool.
Cut into bars and wrap each bar in foil, for hiking.
These travel and keep well.
