Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 medium-sized green tomatoes, sliced
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine the egg and milk; mix well.
    Stir together the flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
    Dip tomato slices in egg mixture and dredge in cornmeal mixture.
    Fry tomato slices in hot oil until browned, turning once.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve hot.
