Southern Corn Meal Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 c. corn meal
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sweet milk
2 beaten eggs

Preparation

Mix flour and
meal
and work in Crisco like pie dough. Add eggs to milk
and
add
to
flour.
Add
more
milk if not enough to handle.
Roll
out and cut in 1-inch pieces and drop in chicken broth
that
is
boiling.
When you add last dough, cover and turn fire out.
