Best Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    4 c. chopped fresh broccoli (1 1/2 lb.)
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. carrots, chopped
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    6 Tbsp. margarine
    6 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 tsp. onion salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring water to boil.
    Add broccoli, celery and carrots; boil 2 to 3 minutes.
    Drain; set aside.
    In same kettle, saute onion in oleo until tender.
    Stir in flour to form smooth paste.
    Gradually add broth and milk, stirring constantly.
    Bring to boil; boil and stir 1 minute.
    Add vegetables and remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Makes 2 quarts.
