Griffith'S Shortbread Old Frostburg Recipe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Mix flour and sugar together in mixing bowl.
Cut in unsoftened butter until it forms small pea size lumps.
Dump ingredients on cool marble slab.
Will still be powder.
Start pounding and working until you form a soft dough, oily to touch.
Form a ball. Roll out on unfloured slab to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into rounds with biscuit cutter.
Lift carefully with cake turner to ungreased cool cookie sheet.
Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned around bottom edge.
Cool on wire rack.
Wrap cookies in wax paper to best preserve buttery taste.
