Chicken And Pork Adobo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean pork, cut into 2 x 1 1/2-inch pieces
    1 medium chicken (lean), cut up
    1 head garlic, crushed
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. lard
    3 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 onion, quartered
    2 bay leaves
Preparation
    Place cut pork and chicken in a large saucepan.
    Add vinegar, garlic, pepper, soy sauce, onion, bay leaves and water.
    Cover and cook slowly until most of the sauce is evaporated.
    Drain; save.
    Separate the pieces of onion from the pork and chicken and saute in the lard until brown.
    Add the pork and chicken and fry until brown.
    Add the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes; serve hot. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
