Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. pears (28 to 30)
    4 lb. sugar
    1 large can crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Peel pears and cut up.
    Grind pears with large cutter.
    Cook juice and pears together; add sugar.
    Cook until thick (1 hour approximately), stirring frequently.
    Add pineapple; cook 20 minutes or longer.
    Put into hot jars and seal.
    Makes 8 pints.
