Golden Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. broiler fryer
5 c. corn flakes (or 1 1/4 c. crushed)
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 c. stock or water
8 canned peach halves

Preparation

Prepare chicken for roasting.
Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion
and
celery,
cook until tender.
Stir in seasoning and stock.
Remove
from heat.
Add corn flake crumbs, tossing lightly.
Stuff
chicken, place in center of foil.
Brush with syrup
from peaches.
Bring foil together over chicken.
Place in shallow roasting pan.
Roast in 450\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour. Open foil and flatten in pan.
Place drained peaches, cup side up around
chicken
and baste with pan drippings.
Roast about 20 minutes longer.
Yield:
4 servings.
