Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices raw bacon, cut in small pieces
    1 c. water
    1 onion, chopped
    4 to 6 potatoes, cut in small cubes
    4 c. fresh corn or 2 to 3 frozen boxes
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 stick butter
    2 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a big pot, stir bacon until cooked.
    Add water, onion and potatoes.
    Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
