White Fluffy Frosting(For Maraschino Cherry Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    6 Tbsp. cold water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cream of tartar and egg whites in top of double boiler.
    Mix well with spoon.
    Place over boiling water and beat with rotary beater until icing will stand in tottering peaks. Remove from water, add vanilla and beat to right consistency to spread.
    May add chopped nuts to batter or a tint of pink.
    Cut cherries in half to decorate top of cake.
