Hot Tomatorie Chile - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. butter or salad oil
4 medium onions, sliced
2 medium green peppers, cut in strips
1 c. celery, coarsely cut
3 lb. ground beef
3 (20 oz.) cans tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1 tsp. hot sauce
2 Tbsp. chili powder
3 (20 oz.) cans kidney beans
Preparation

Melt the butter in a Dutch oven, then add the onions, green peppers and celery.
Cook until onion is tender, but not brown. Add the ground beef and cook until beef loses red color, breaking up with a fork.
Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, monosodium, hot sauce and chili powder.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes longer.
Serve with crisp, salted crackers.
Makes 12 servings.
