Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 lb. peaches
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    4 lb. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar (apple)
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    4 sticks cinnamon, broken
Preparation
    Make a syrup of spices and vinegar.
    Let come to a good boil. Pour over peaches that have been put in stone jars.
    Repeat for 8 mornings.
    On the 9th morning, put peaches in glass jars and pour hot syrup over them and seal.
