No Frost Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. and 3 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. white sugar
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Add soda to dates.
    Pour hot water over them.
    Cream butter and sugar and add dates, eggs, flour, salt, cocoa and vanilla. Beat well.
    Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
    Pour in a greased, floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips and all of the nuts over the top and bake for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
