Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 Tbsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 can creamed corn
    2 hot peppers, chopped
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cheese.
    Pour half the batter into hot greased pan.
    Add cheese.
    Pour remaining batter over cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 450\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
