5 large eggs, beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
1 (9-inch) deep pastry shell (unbaked)
Preparation

Mix eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and scalded milk. Slowly pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle top with nutmeg. Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge of pie and center comes out clean.
