Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 1/3 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together; add flour and knead with right hand until it forms a dough.
    Knead a little longer and press into a buttered tin.
    Prick top with a fork and bake at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for 1 hour or until a pale brown.
    Cut in squares or fingers while warm and leave in pan to cool.
