Party Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 oz. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted and divided
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 c. corn flakes
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, 1/2 cup butter, onion, salt, pepper, sour cream, soup and cheese. Stir well. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole dish and top with corn flakes mixed with the remaining 1/4 cup butter. Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
