Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts, skins on
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe container, stir together peanuts, sugar,
    syrup
    and
    salt.\tMicrowave on High for 4 minutes.
    Remove
    from
    oven
    and
    stir.
    Return
    to
    oven and microwave on High
    for 4 more minutes.
    Remove from oven, stir in butter and\tvanilla.
    Return
    to oven and microwave on High for 2 minutes
    more.
    Remove
    from
    oven\tand
    quickly stir in baking soda
    (mixture becomes foamy).
    Immediately pour onto a lightly greased
    surface,
    spreading thin.\tWhen cooked, break into pieces.
    Yields 1 pound.
