Ripe Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 large, ripe tomatoes
    4 large onions
    4 sweet peppers
    1 hot pepper
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 level Tbsp. salt (coarse)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. pulverized cloves
Preparation
    Chop or cut in small pieces.
    Mix all ingredients and boil for about 2 hours, slowly, or until thick.
    Stir often to keep from sticking.
    Cook in porcelain pan.
    Seal while hot.
    Yields 6 to 7 pints.
