Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 c. sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/8 c. melted shortening or oil
Preparation

Grease an 8-inch pie pan.
Mix in this order.
Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until light brown.
