Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening, melted
    1 lb. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 pkg. chocolate bits
    1 c. chopped nut meats
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Melt shortening. Add brown sugar and mix well.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients, chocolate bits and nut meats.
    Pour into greased pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
