Gilbert'S Favorite Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) fryer
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. milk or buttermilk
    1 3/4 c. chicken broth
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
Preparation
    Boil fryer until tender.
    Remove bones and skin.
    Cut up and place in 2-quart baking dish.
    Mix broth and soup, stirring until smooth.
    Sprinkle salt and pepper over chicken and pour broth mixture over it.
    Melt butter and mix with flour and milk.
    Pour this mixture over chicken and bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
