Butterscotch Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    2 c. dark brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    4x sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter; add sugar, eggs and dry ingredients which have been sifted together.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Place in a greased pan (about 8 x 10-inch).
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Sprinkle with 4x sugar while warm.
