Esther'S Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. green bell peppers
    1 doz. red bell peppers
    1 qt. onions, chopped
    1 pt. vinegar
    1/2 pt. water
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Chop or grind peppers.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    But do not scald onions.
    Add these after scalding; drain.
    Add vinegar and sugar and onions.
    Add salt.
    Boil for 1/2 hour, stirring once in a while.
    Seal in sterilized jars.
