Ingredients

9 eggs
1 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
4 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. buttermilk
3 c. raisins
3 (9-inch) unbaked pie shells
Preparation

In a large bowl, beat eggs lightly. Crumble in sugar, making sure there are no lumps. Beat until light.
Stir in salt, cinnamon and buttermilk until well mixed. Spread 1 cup raisins in each pie shell.
Pour 1/3 custard mixture (about 2 cups) into each shell. Bake on lowest rack in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cool. Pies freeze well. When cool, wrap airtight and freeze. Will keep about 1 month.
