Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bread
    1 lb. sausage
    1/2 c. cheese, shredded (mild Cheddar)
    2 c. whipping cream or canned evaporated milk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Remove crust from bread. Butter on both sides; break into pieces and place in bottom of 9 x 13 casserole dish. Fry sausage and crumble; set aside to drain. Sprinkle sausage and cheese on top of bread. Combine milk, eggs and salt; beat well. Pour on top of casserole. Refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
