Paprikas Csirke(Hungarian Stewed Chicken) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cooking chicken, cut up
1 large onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. flour
1 c. sour cream
Preparation

Rinse chicken and cut up.
Rinse chicken parts and sprinkle with salt.
Finely chop onion and saute in shortening (not butter) until tender.
Remove from heat.
Add paprika and mix well.
Add chicken parts and mix well to coat chicken.
Return to heat. Simmer covered on low heat until chicken is tender (water need not be added).
For a creamy gravy, mix flour into sour cream and blend into sauce.
