Ingredients

3 (3 oz.) bars semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/4 c. pecan halves
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter (at room temperature)
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to slow 325\u00b0.
Lightly grease 2 large cookie sheets.
Break chocolate bars into squares, then cut each square diagonally in half.
Set aside 1/2 cup pecan halves; coarsely chop remainder.
Stir together the flour and baking soda on wax paper to mix well.
Beat together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in medium size bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until mixed.
Stir in flour mixture until blended; stir in chopped pecans.
