Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising corn meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 medium finely chopped onion
1 c. milk

Preparation

Stir all ingredients together.
Drop by tablespoons into hot oil, about 375\u00b0, until golden brown on all sides.
Drain on paper towels.
