Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
    1 onion, sliced
    1 c. beef broth
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic
    2 green peppers, cut in strips
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1 1/2 c. tomatoes, chopped
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cut steak into thin strips and brown in a small amount of oil. Add broth, onion, celery and garlic.
    Simmer, covered, for 40 minutes. Add peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes.
    Cook 10 more minutes.
    Mix soy sauce and cornstarch in 1 cup of water until smooth. Slowly stir this into the meat mixture, stirring constantly, until thickened. Serve over rice.
