Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. corn meal
    6 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 lb. raisins
    6 eggs, beaten whole
Preparation
    Combine the corn meal with the scalded milk.
    Add the sugar, butter and salt.
    Let the mixture cool, then add the lemon rind, ginger, raisins and eggs.
    Bake in a buttered 3-quart casserole, set in water, for 2 hours in a slow oven (300\u00b0).
    Very good!!
