Mom'S Italian Zucchini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 small zucchini
    1 onion, sliced
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Slice zucchini thinly.
    Place a layer of zucchini in a shallow baking dish.
    Cover with 1/3 of the onion, 1/3 of the cheese, sprinkle with salt and oregano.
    Make 3 layers.
    Pour tomato sauce over the vegetables.
    Bake 45 minutes, covered with foil.
    Remove the foil; sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bake 10 minutes longer.
    Serves 4.
