Quick Microwave Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green peppers, tops removed and seeded
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1 c. quick rice
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    5 slices sharp Cheddar cheese or Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Arrange peppers in microproof pie plate.
    Combine remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce and cheese; blend well.
    Stuff meat mixture in peppers.
    Pour tomato sauce over peppers.
    Cover with plastic wrap; cook on High 18 to 20 minutes, or until peppers are tender and beef is done.
    Remove plastic wrap; top each pepper with cheese.
    Return plastic wrap.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
