File Kombo Choctaw(Modern) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken
    2 ham hocks
    8 crayfish (live)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cayenne
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. lard
    1 onion
    1 tomato
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. file powder
    1/2 c. okra
    1 1/2 qt. water
Preparation
    Chop onion and tomato.
    Slice okra.
    Boil water; season chicken with salt and cayenne and brown.
    Remove chicken and add flour to broth; add onions and brown.
    Add tomato and cook a few minutes.
    Add water, ham hocks, chicken (cut up) and bay leaf. Simmer until tender.
    Add crayfish and okra and bring to a boil for 10 minutes.
    Stir in file.
    Serve with rice.
