Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. tomatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 pkg. soda crackers, crushed
    1/2 stick butter
Preparation
    Mix the tomatoes and onion together.
    Spread about 1/2 of the crumbs over the bottom of a 10 x 3-inch deep casserole or metal baking pan.
    Gently spoon 1/2 the tomato mixture over crumbs. Sprinkle with 1/3 more crumbs.
    Spoon remaining tomato mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs; dot with 1/2 stick of butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
