Garden Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 qt. peeled ripe tomatoes
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    3 medium onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar (1/2 c. for sweeter)
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 small can green chilies, chopped
    2 cloves garlic
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; heat gradually to boiling point. Simmer for at least 4 hours or to desired consistency.
    Pour into hot jars; process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
    Makes 2 1/2 pints.
    Serves 4.
