Pastry For One Pie Crust - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation

Toss flour, salt and sugar to mix.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knives until mixture looks like coarse meal. Sprinkle with water.
Gather into a ball with a fork.
Roll on a lightly floured board to a circle one inch larger than the inverted pie pan.
Ease pastry into pie pan; fold edges under even with the pan rim.
Flute edges.
To bake before filling, prick pie shell with a fork.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven 8 to 15 minutes or until done.
Cool before filling.
Makes one 9-inch pie shell.
