Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk
    3 1/2 c. (1/2-inch) bread cubes
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Combine with eggs, salt, vanilla, sugar and milk. Stir until sugar is dissolved; pour over bread cubes.
    Pour into a 9-inch square pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Serve cold with whipped cream or warm with sauce.
    If bread is dry, heat in the milk slightly before adding the other ingredients.
    Serves 6 to 8.
