Scioto Chapel Bread Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 loaf bread
1 1/2 c. water
2 medium onions, chopped
2 individual stalks celery, chopped
2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
4 eggs, beaten
salt and pepper
Preparation

The night before, lay out bread slices to dry.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In the water, cook onions and celery with salt and pepper to taste until tender.
Tear dried bread into one-inch pieces and put in large bowl.
Pour water/onion/celery mixture and the beaten eggs into the bread pieces and mix well.
Pour in broth and mix again.
Mix in turkey or chicken pieces if desired. Spread in greased 9
x 13-inch baking pan and bake one hour, or until it begins to turn tan and pulls away from pan sides.
Serves 20.
