Waikiki Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef
    2/3 c. cracker crumbs
    1/3 c. minced onion
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 can pineapple (crushed), save juice
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/3 c. green pepper
Preparation
    Mix meat, crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger and milk. Shape mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls.
    Brown meat and remove.
    Keep warm.
    Pour out fat from pan.
    Mix cornstarch, sugar, reserved pineapple juice, vinegar and soy sauce until thick.
    Pour into pan.
    Cook over medium heat.
    Stir until it thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add meatballs, pineapple and green pepper. Heat and serve.
