Favorite Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (no substitutes)
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
    Cream
    butter and shortening.
    Gradually add sugar until light and
    fluffy.\tAdd eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Combine flour and baking powder.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and extracts.
    Beat well after each addition.
    Pour
    into
    prepared pan and bake 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.
    Cool in pan 5 minutes before removing to rack to cool completely.
    Freezes well.
    Yields 16 servings.
