Pasties (A Meat Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes, peeled and diced (1/2 inch)
    4 medium onions, peeled and finely chopped
    4 Betty Crocker \"All Ready\" pie crusts (or make your own 8 single crusts)
    3 lb. stew beef or chuck steaks, cubed to 1/2 inch
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Lay 1 pie crust flat.
    In center, place 3/4 cup diced potatoes.
    Layer about 1/2 cup diced meat on top, followed by 1/4 cup diced onions.
    Sprinkle with about 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper (more or less, to taste).
    Bring edges of dough up over filling.
    Moisten with water and crimp to seal tightly.
    Poke 2 holes on each side of crimp to vent steam.
    Carefully pour 1/4 cup water into one of the holes.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
