Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    2 pkg. vanilla instant pudding, mix as directed
    1 qt. strawberries, drained
    2 small cans coconut
    1 c. pecans
    1 large Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake in 2 layers as directed on box; let cool.
    Mix vanilla pudding as directed and set aside.
    Crumble 1 layer of cake in bottom of punch bowl, then layer 1/2 pineapple, 1/2 pudding mix, 1/2 strawberries, 1/2 nuts, 1/2 coconut, 1/2 Cool Whip and 1/2 of cherries.
    Repeat layers, leaving enough Cool Whip, nuts and cherries to sprinkle on top.
