Okra Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    several pods okra
    2 medium onions
    1/2 tsp. oregano (almost)
    salt to taste
    fresh tomatoes or can tomatoes
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Clean okra and cut into big pieces.
    Chop the onions.
    Put fresh tomatoes in boiling water; let stand for about 10 seconds. Peel tomatoes and cut up.
    Heat oil or Pam in a deep cast-iron skillet.
    Add vegetables and enough water to boil okra.
    Add the oregano, bay leaf and salt.
    Cook over medium heat until okra is done.
