Sweet Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dried green peas
1 pkg. dried yellow peas
2 carrots, quartered and sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 parsnip, quartered and sliced
1 potato (optional), cubed
1 to 2 stalks celery, diced
water and vegetable cooking water
salt and pepper to taste
chives, rubbed to powder
Preparation

Add peas and water or vegetable cooking water according to directions on package (or 3 cups water for every 1 cup peas) to a large stock pot.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 1/2 hour. Add vegetables and seasoning and cook until peas have disintegrated to creamy consistency and vegetables mash easily against side of pot.
