Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/4 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar; beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Combine flour and soda; add to cream mixture with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Pour into greased and floured pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 30 minutes.
