New Orleans Red Beans(Sister Virginia'S Centennial Southern Surprise) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    ham bone and 1 c. chopped ham
    2 medium chopped onions
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 c. celery leaves, chopped
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 lb. dried red beans or kidney beans
    6 c. water
    1 Tbsp. catsup
    1 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins
    3 dashes Tabasco
    3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Note:
    One large ham hock or 2 small ham hocks may be substituted if bone not available.
