Dream Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. shredded coconut
    1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together and set aside 1 cup flour, brown sugar and salt. Cut in until fine crumbled shortening.
    Pat into greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Sift together and set aside 1/4 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat until very thick eggs and brown sugar.
    Add to flour mixture chocolate chips and vanilla.
    Spread over baked mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Yield: 32 (2 x 1-inch) bars.
